寵物依戀對飼主旅遊行為影響關係之研究 ─以英國狗飼主為例

近年來,寵物已成為人類生活重心的一環,飼主對於寵物的情感依戀,使得飼主帶寵物一同旅遊的意願提高,促使本研究透過飼主人格特質、寵物依戀與旅遊行為影響關係,並以飼主人格特質作為干擾變項,藉以了解其對飼主旅遊行為與寵物依戀所產生的調適效果。本研究以實證方式作為依據,研究調查採量化研究設計,以網路與當面問卷法共回收151份,研究對象為居住英國的寵物飼主,研究方法採取便利抽樣進行問卷調查。問卷內容包括寵物依戀量表、旅遊行為量表、人格特質量表及受訪者個人背景資料。透過迴歸分析驗證本研究架構之適用性,研究分析結果歸納如下:ㄧ、寵物依戀對旅遊行為具有正向顯著的影響效果;二、飼主人格特質在寵物依戀與旅遊行為之間具有干擾效果。五大人格特質當中,根據線性回歸分析結果顯示,外向性和神經質對於寵物依戀與旅遊行為間的相互作用具調節作用。意味著符合兩種人格特質的飼主,若對於寵物的情感依戀程度越高,攜帶寵物旅遊的意願會相對地提升,本文研究之結果可給予發展寵物旅遊之相關產業人員作為參考。

Pets have become an integral part of people’s lives in today’s modern world. With the growing trend of pet ownership, pet lovers have become more attached to their pets (World Travel Market, 2007). Owners tended to include their pets while holidaying. This study examined the personality of dog owners and whether this influenced their pet attachment levels. In addition, this study also investigated what influences dog owners to bring their dogs when travelling and to what extent pet attachment influences their travel behaviour. A total of 151 questionnaires were completed via face-to-face, online forums, and Facebook groups. Multiple linear regression analysis was used in this study to assess the relationship between pet attachment, travel behaviour, and personality. The results supported the hypothesised model: that pet attachment has a positive effect on travel behaviour; and that proposed moderating effect of personality in the relationship between pet attachment and travel behaviour. It is expected that the results of this study will provide a useful reference for academics and hotel and tourism managers. Moreover, this study can provide the hospitality industry with valuable information for developing the pet travel market.
