動物保護志工保護流浪犬經驗對生命態度影響之探討

當前動物保護及關懷生命觀念盛行,加以國人飼養寵物風氣日漸蓬勃,儘管如此,面對每一個動物的生命品質,基於人道精神的考量,把愛護動物變成生活道德中的基本態度,依此推廣延伸,更進一步將流浪犬也漸成為道德關懷的對象。此外,志願服務的精神是人類進步的原動力,是成熟公民社會的象徵,也是服務社會最大的資本,於此可見,志工們在動物保護工作中所扮演主要的角色,誠然是動物保護及關懷生命領域中最具關鍵性的核心人物。 本研究採用質性研究方法,研究對象,則採立意取樣方式,深度訪談七位動物保護志工,訪談資料透過主題分析法,詮釋動物保護志工在照護流浪犬的過程中所經驗的各種生命境遇,及其經過反思及體悟後,轉化為影響生命之經驗歷程。溯自2008年起陸續以參加有關動物保護志工培訓課程、參與觀察、蒐尋中外文獻、網路學術資源翻譯等方法,進行蒐集資料,期能從動物保護志工的服務經驗中,探索其對尊重生命態度的實踐與體悟,同時也論及流浪犬的保護。此外,研究觸角並涵蓋動物福利的收容及教育功能,並勾勒未來提升流浪犬生存品質的願景。 主要之研究發現摘述如下: 一、推動動物保護困難之瓶頸: (一)動物保護志工對「絕育」與「安樂死」的看法及其生命態度之影響。 (二)動物保護志工服務情緒反應狀態及對其生命態度之影響。 (三)動物保護志工在照護流浪犬過程中,影響其生命態度之省思。 二、提升流浪犬生活品質: (一)藉由訓練和培育,強化流浪犬的生存條件。 (二)透過宣導和爭取支持,改善流浪犬的生存環境。 (三)深化生命教育培植,提高流浪犬的生存機會。 最後根據本研究之發現與結論,分別對收容機構、動物保護志工團體、新進志工人員、及飼主提出建議,以做為未來相關動保教育及後續研究之參考。

外文摘要: 

The increasing number of pets keeping and popular attitude if animal protection has become a trend in Taiwan. Based on the humanity attitude, stray dogs should be taken into consideration as well. The protection and care giving of stray dogs need lots of labour to complete.Therefore, volunteers play an important role in the animal protection activity. This study is carried out in qualitative method with judgement sampling by interviewing 7 animal protection volunteers. Data will be analysed topically to represent the process and experience during giving care to stray dogs in different aspects of their life. Then realise what affected their individual life. Author engaged in animal protection volunteer developing course, activity observation, literature review to search the realization of respecting life attitude with regard of the stray dogs protection. Besides, this study covered the sheltering and education funtions of animal welfare, and depicted the vision of improving the life quality of stray dogs. The exploration of this study are as follows: A. Difficulties in promoting animal protection: a. The attitude toward sterilization and euthanasia of volunteers and the affection to their life attitude. b. The emotional situation of volunteers and the affection to their life attitude. c. Reflection of the affection to their life attitude during the care giving process. B. Improving the life quality of stray dogs: a. Improve the living condition through training and developing. b. Improve the living environment through promotion and strving for community support. c. Strenthen the life education to improve the survival rate of stray dogs. According to the findings and conclusion of this study, recommendations are made to shelters, animal protection volunteer groups, new volunteers and pets owners for reference in further research and animal protection education in the future.
